Dorothy Manning Zimmerman Myers, age 86, died Monday, January 14, 2019. Memorial service 11 am Saturday, February 9th, Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S. Woodlawn, Derby. Dorothy graduated from Wichita North High School in 1950. She dearly loved her family, and enjoyed the blessings of many true friendships. Dorothy's great and creative spirit was freely given in a lifetime of service, work, and volunteering; sharing her strengths, humor, and goodwill for the benefit of family, community, and her church. Dorothy's passion for learning and higher education created a lifelong endeavor to quench her thirst for knowledge and understanding; she graduated with highest honors from Wichita State University in 1982, with a Master's Degree in Education. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Pearl Manning; husband, D.L. "Roy" Zimmerman, Jr. (Wichita d.1980), and, Bill F. Myers (Derby, d. 2015); along with her sister, Phillis Manning Clampitt (Randall). Survivors include: Children, Dee A. Zimmerman-Smoll (Dodge City), Debra L. Zimmerman-O'Quinn (Topeka), Dana M. Zimmerman (Wichita), and Darrel W Zimmerman (Columbia, MO); Grandchildren, Jesse Hodges, Jennifer Heimstra, Katie Ramsey, Molly O'Quinn, Roxanne Helmka, and Alexa Zimmerman; Great-grandchildren, Megan and Erin Hodges, Xavier, Alexander, and Quentin Heimstra, Madelyn and Caroline Ramsey, Amy Wilder-O'Quinn and Leann O'Quinn-Esslinger, and Estelle Helmka. In Lieu of flowers and in honor of Dorothy's love for her church community, a memorial fund has been established with Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S.
