Patty Jean Banister, 86, went to be with her LORD on Tuesday, February 26th, 2019. She was born April 29th, 1932 to James Merrill Sloop and Dorothy Tindell Sloop in White City, Kansas. Patty was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was devoted to her LORD and church. Patty enjoyed traveling with her loving family, watching her grandsons' many activities and listening to country music. She retired after 30 years of service with Beech Aircraft.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Teddy H. Banister; parents, James Sloop (Bertha), Dorothy Tindell Jones (Chuck); sister, Donna Ford (Chuck); sister, Cheryl Sloop; sister-in-law, Dorothy Sloop; great-granddaughter, Haydn Ann Rush.
Patty is survived by her children, Michael Banister (Cyndi), Pamela Rush (Terry); grandchildren, Gavin (Kristina), Trent (Amy), Logan (Amanda) and Chase Banister, Joshua (Chandra), Jacob (Tessa) and Joseph Rush (Becky); 14 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Dunn (Gene), James "Mike" Sloop, Mary Stewart (Ralph); and many loving family and friends.

Visitation: Sunday, March 3rd, 2019, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Family will greet from 3 pm to 5 pm. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Monday, March 4th, 2019 at Douglass Church of Christ. Interment to follow at Douglass Cemetery.
