WICHITA – Wyant, Duane Eugene
83, passed away Wednesday, November 28th, 2018. He was born May 25th, 1935 to Dr. Clayton and Gladys Barnes Wyant. Duane is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Human Wyant; children, James (Carol) Wyant of Ft. Worth, TX; Cheri (C.D.) Wyant of Centerton, AR; Craig (Nancy) Wyant of Tyro, KS; Kevin (Renee) Wyant of Peck, KS; 7 grandchildren, Chris and Jennifer Wyant of Mulvane, KS; Clayton Wyant and Jennifer Wyant of Derby, KS; Elizabeth Wyant of Houston, TX; Tyler and Celeste Wyant of Bakersfield, CA; Kelsey Wyant of Pittsburg, KS; Keana and Daniel Perales of Wichita, KS; and Anika Wyant and Corey Kauffman of Wichita, KS; 8 great-grandchildren, Kylee Wyant, Collin Wyant, Katelyn Wyant, Mckenzie Wyant, Quinten Wyant all of Mulvane, KS; Ember Wyant, Hunter Smith, Derby, KS; and Elleana Perales of Wichita; Sisters, Carol Brobst of Clearwater, KS and Nita Brooks of Bronson, Fl. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wayne. Duane retired from Vulcan Materials, Wichita after 38 years of service. He and Betty were State Directors of the Kansas Good Sam RV Camping Club, enjoyed square dancing, 4-H Club leaders, showing and shearing sheep, and best of all – grandkids. Visitation will be held at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby on Sunday, Dec. 2nd, from 2 to 7 p.m. Services to be held at 10am on Monday, Dec. 3rd at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 7901 W. 21st St. North, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to YESS Program, ARC of Sedgwick County Summer Socialization Program for children with developmental disabilities, 2919 W. 2nd St., Wichita, KS 67203.
